Daughter of Nature

Daughter of Nature

A Poem by FractalLuna

I am a soulful daughter of nature.

Brought up by swollen roots sown deep,
Conceived within a womb of moonlight,

Starlight streams down when I weep.

Intuitive in mind and haloed in red,

Lightning marrow in my bones,

A thunderous beat to my heart,

Pulsing into my fractaled veins.

Releasing my energy back to the stars,

Nebulaic patterned irises,

And the voice of a gentle breeze.

Trailing fingers through space and time,

Webs and neurons fill my mind like filigree,

My interconnectedness like entropy entwined,

Phasing and pulsing, breathing slowly.

I really liked this. Lots of luscious metaphors and images portray a unity with nature. I don't read too much poetry and make the mistake of trying to be too literal but I do get this and I a learning! I do really enjoy modern art so I should know better.
Very well done.

Alan
