"Are You in Love?"

I was once asked if I was in love and how I knew it was love. Here is my response:

“Are you in love?”
“Yes, I am in love.”
“How do you know it’s love?”
I can feel it within. When you can think logically and emotionally about this love and balance them, then you know. Sometimes love can be too much of one. Love can be more logical, where you use your mind to rationalize why you love this person, which can cause the heart to then make decisions based upon logic. Sometimes love can be too emotional, causing logic to be cast aside. The heart swells and causes too much pain and can leave you blinded. With this love, I feel balanced. I feel completely enamored by this love, yet I can still focus on being discerning and expressive in a healthy manner. I have love. It’s pure and simple, yet shrouded within layers and complex.
