Drawn Together: Two of Two

Drawn Together: Two of Two

A Poem by Deranged Kiwi
"

Restored.

"

Supple, blank slate

Absorb the varying speeches

And be molded by those words of wisdom

The lights grow dim

And the curtains fall

Nostalgic, blank slate

The roar of the crowd dies and fades

Into the abyss of forgotten memories

To be locked away with the sad thoughts of regrets

And the constant "I wish I's" and "What if I's"

Inexperienced, blank slate

Standing vulnerable before the unknown

Prepare to be sketched and altered

Picasso's pf the world draw up in arms

And strike your mark into the epitaph of history

Accomplished, blank slate

Look to your right and now to your left

Faces you know you will never forget

Flip your tassels and toss your caps

This is the final farewell

What happens now?
