Chapter FourA Chapter by groupof5RiderWalking
out of the water, I feel the hot sun against my toned shoulders as beads of
water make their way down my body. I pull my hand up, taking the water with me
as I manipulate it to create higher tides. I release as they splash high and
obnoxiously close to Blaze’s house. As I make my way closer to the shore, I run
my fingers through my sandy blonde hair. “Rider!”
I hear Blaze scream. I
throw my head back and begin to chuckle. I walk a little faster and eventually
find myself in front of Blaze. My 5’ll figure towering over her 5’3 self, “Yes?”
I say with a cheeky grin. She then begins consult me about getting the
cushioned porch furniture wet. I can’t help but laugh as I look deeply into
Blaze’s eyes. Her
eyes are the same treasure as they were when we first met. It was nothing out of some romance
movie. It was smoky, dead bodies everywhere, I probably smelled like sweat. She
was upset over the loss of a friend. I thought she was pretty and swerved in
with the compliment. My way of dealing with things isn’t the best, it’s usually
sex. I managed to cheer her up a little, took a bit as she shot a fire ball at
me and then passed out… Her last words before passing out were something about
getting whatever from the hearse. So I threw her over my shoulder, took her
somewhere safe, before returning and getting as much as I could from the hearse.
She was thankful later on. It
was those magnificent eyes that told me she was half demon. Well that, and the
fact that the first time we met she shot a ball of fire at me… She probably
assumed I was half demon, but it was confirmed the first time we had sex. I had
managed to accidentally manipulate water out of a glass she had in her room,
she wasn’t stunned at all, even to the fact I accidentally dumped it over our
naked bodies. The first time
we slept together was nothing out of character for me. I had gone out, about a
week and a bit after I had conversed with her at the mansion, I left shortly
after she had woken up, didn’t think much of the situation. After grinding with
two chicks on the dance floor, I had stopped to go get a drink. And alone,
isolated at the bar, I saw Blaze. She wasn’t drunk off her a*s or anything,
just sipping a gin and tonic. I went and took a seat next to her, she began to
turn to me with a look of “are you kidding me, there’s twelve other seats why
not sit in one of those” before she quickly realized who I was. “Rider?” She
asked, sounding fairly unsure (Which I don’t blame her for as she had only met
me once and was only semi-conscious at the time). “Blaze”, I
smirk, “How ironic that we both show up, at the same bar, on a Thursday.” I
state. “Yes how
ironic.” She replies in a monotone. I smile before turning serious. “How are you?”
I ask. “Dandy.” She
responds, taking another sip of her drink. “Blaze-” I
start before being cut off by her. “Why don’t we
go do something fun?” She asks. “What do you
have in mind?” That night we
went back to hers, drank some beer, I attempted to drunkenly shoot darts at a
board, she laughed at me, we had sex. Nothing out of the ordinary. Except the
fact I couldn’t stop thinking about her for whatever reason. I blame her eyes. I went back to
her after about two weeks of only Blaze on my mind. Asked her if she’d want to
go out to dinner sometime, and we did… That night… And then the next.. And
eventually we started dating. After about two months of being together, she
asked me to move in with her, I was more than thrilled and stayed that night,
said I’d get whatever I needed from mine in the morning. It was those
eyes that I wake up to every morning, the ones I know every story behind each
damaged point, and each happy place her eyes will go. I know about Coral, Mark,
Rippir and Fabian. I know of all of her friendships with each and every one of
them. It took a while for her to go into depth about them, but I had heard their names. I knew about
Mark the first time I met her. Well not fully, but I had heard the name. Blaze
also talks in her sleep, learned that my first night over here. She kept
calling for Mark, and someone else I had never heard of, Coral. I figured she’d
talk when she wanted to, so I never asked about them. She told me, she cried.
It was rough because Blaze is not really the crying type. Seeing her cry hurt me.
That was the moment I realized I loved her. I
pulled back to reality by Blaze. “Are
you even listening to me?” She asks, boredom evident in her tone. I tuck her
hair behind her ear, staring lovingly into her eyes.
“It
will dry.” I say. She goes to say something else, but before she can continue,
I kiss her. © 2016 groupof5 |
