Soul which takes my heart -

and captures it with silver tongs-

to hang with misty tidal urges,

impassioned, windy sighs-

to ride upon its swimming crest-

until it becomes dizzy, with zealous-

life that this enraptured soul must bring . . .

 

A whimsical music, harkened to this-

star-induced, enamored rift-

and with it slides, a gusty roll that,

my heart must sadly take hold-

beating with the fluttered silenced-

unnoticed palpitations . . .

the soul of imagination has left . . .

until it falls, and leaves the vortex,

while in despair it touches slowly-

upon the valley dip beneath it-

the land of human rationale which-

descries the soul's inspired mind . . .

and waits for the soul to bring -

it up again, with illogical poetry.
