Misery

Misery

A Poem by Foxemerald

Misery ~

Darkness prevailed with its meanings,

And I felt its poisoned touch,

And then I knew the truth . . .

My destiny was wrought.

I lived a fruitless life of pain,

Confinement stole my breast,

Interred my soul in shame . . .

As the weak light sought me,

I shielded my soul,

And wept into my chest.
