![]() Black Cat JewelryA Poem by FoxemeraldBlack Cat Jewelry You know that I own several pairs, Of dark enigmatic earrings, And the bracelets that gather at my wrists, Are actually of a black diamond. No one has ever asked me before, What the symbol was inlaid there, And I never would have mentioned it . . . Because you were not to know secrets hidden. They were mine, to keep as I may hold, To work them as I might maintain them, And that is because . . . I cannot ever know what it is that you sought, Although I might languish, Underneath the boardwalk of Monopoly- Waiting for you to get me out of jail, Because I- Have so many secrets that are mind, I keep a treasure chest to my own, Bizarre, animalistic, Heart, Just for fun you see, Because, well . . . I just don’t like anyone to know me. It doesn’t matter if you find me in jail, If you throw me to the ragweed, For I- Shall always sit here, Wearing my black jewelry, And you shall never know its secrets . . . So don’t ask me. © 2013 FoxemeraldReviews
