Day 4

Day 4

A Chapter by Foxembers

 Impepho 16, Year 17

              Dear Diary,

I don't even know how to explain all the stuff that went on today. Well, I guess it's not all that weird. I have had quite a few more strange adventures then today's. Oh yeah. I'm sorry for not writing recently. There hasn't been much reason to, seeing as I haven't had any new adventures till today. Also, in case you were wondering. My parents aren't home yet, though they sent me a letter saying they should be back in about two days, which is pretty quick for them. Thank you for caring about me!

Moving on though, Lina has come over every day. She hasn't done anything super suspicious since Sunday though. Kade also came over on Monday and Tuesday. I had to explain my...situation...to him, which was awkward, but at least he didn't completely abandon me!

I guess I should get to the stuff that happened today though. So this morning I had pancakes, and they were fine, I mean, not the best but not horrible. Plus, we had syrup which was AMAZING. I typically have to put Peanut Butter on it or something and I have to tell you, I can eat it but honestly I'm not a huge fan of Peanut Butter. Chocolate is better in every single way. But that's beside the point. So I honestly had a pretty normal morning. I didn't even realize an adventure had started until I bumped into them. So I went shopping at around, like, 11 and on my way out of the store (I had gotten a discount from Mazy 'cause of the discount I'd given her on her memory bracelet. By the way, Mazy's a shapeshifter of sorts, not really but specifics shmifics. She sometimes gets so caught up in the transformation that she forgets somethings and the Bracelet helps her remember those things. It was most helpful when she'd almost forgotten her original form.) I accidentally bumped into--though it was more like ran into--Emily(?). Of course some of our stuff fell on the floor and both of us immediately started picking them up. Then we both apologised and continued on.

It was really annoying to only then realize I had the fuzzy jelly adventure feeling. Still, like the cliches in all those books and movies I turned around too late to figure out where Emily had gone. I hate it when those types of things happen to me. Little did I know but I had just run into someone very very dangerous.

In any case, I got home to Kade and Lina arguing in the middle of my living room. How they got in? I'm going to guess Kade phased through the walls but I don't even want to question Lina's abilities at this point. It wasn't surprising to find them arguing. Lina had tried to kill Kade only a few days ago, and they are really...umm...they are going to hate me for saying this, but they're really similar and stubborn about their views. Once I'd solved the problem--once again--I made them help me unpack the groceries. Of course I told them about the new adventure. After they asked me about my special skill for the day, I told them I didn't know. So, obviously they had to help me find out.

Either luckily or unluckily, right at that moment Lina got a text from her boss about someone seemingly talking to animals in the park. Lina explained to me later that she'd asked her boss to tell her about these things because she takes it as a personal offense when people have or pretend to have powers similar to her own. The surprising part is that she'd asked to come with her. Her excuse was that we could find out my skill on the way.
