Unsolvable

Unsolvable

A Poem by Forver is only for now

She leans against the bar,

Spotting a man getting out of his car,

He walks in and orders a whiskey,

A couple in the back are getting frisky,

She slides him the drink and tells him her name,

He nods and turns his head to the tv to check the game,

The disco lights flash,

While she batts an eyelash,

Her hair falls along her neck,

He writes her the check,

A woman walks over to him smoking a cigarette,

And asks if they've met,

Shaking his head to say no he downs a few more drinks,

The woman glares at him then blinks,

Walking away she throws down the f*g,

The girl at the counter looks through her bag,

The smoke filled room smells of sex and candy,

The the man asks her for a brandy,

She unconsciously slid the bottle over while acting uninterested,

He wonders if she's ever been arrested,

She finally found what she's been looking for,

He glances out the door,

Then looks back at her noticing the scars,

The parking lot only holding but a few cars,

She fixes her fishnets,

He wonders how much she gets,

He hands her a twenty grabs his keys,

Then leaves.

Another night on the town,

Taking more than a round,

Walking home,

Missing his life in Rome,

He walks in kisses his wife,

And thanks God for this life,

His head lay on the pillow thinking,

Wishing he hadn't gone drinking,

Because now he worries,

And if he hurries,

He can save them,

The unsolvable problem.
