The Eternal EscapeA Poem by Forver is only for nowHer boyfriend's mean, And her mom's a b***h, She walks around in her jeans, She isn't rich, But she thought she could just have this, It was only a kiss, Instead he broke her heart, He tore it right apart, So in a corner she clung, Crying so hard it hurt her lungs, She wanted to die, Her hand was searching for something sharp nearby, The tip of a razor sliding across her wrist, Blood dripping onto her grocery list, The pain seemed to help, It only took one yelp, This was the only thing she could control, No one would ever be on patrol, But she lost herself, She was tumbling down a hill, She was out for the kill, And one day, There on the floor she lay, A path of blood sliding across her neck, And flowing into a pool in her bathtub, It had become a reck, The pile of knives, Were like honeybee hives, They had pulled away a little bit of her life at a time, Her brown her and happy tan face, Dyed red with blood, drained pure white, Made her appear like a lifeless mime, Yet no one showed, No code in her abode, Her spirit flew away, finally it was the day, she wouldn't be raped or taped, She had escaped. © 2010 Forver is only for now |
