Set Me Free

Set Me Free

A Poem by Brett Forsythe

You took my heart, left no scar, there's nothing left to see, everyone thinks that I was wrong but what you did to me, choked and slashed, squashed and stabbed, return my heart to me, you lost my trust, built new lust, I'm begging on my knees, I'm in hell beside myself, when will you set me free, drown the lies, compromise, please just for a day, just enough to see me walk on my own two feet again.
