Remember Me

Remember Me

A Poem by Brett Forsythe
"

This is a song for my ex.

"
I see you walking slowly as you turn your head and wave to say goodbye, your hand filled with the roses you got from him the day you let me die, well I can't help but to notice your smile shines so much brighter than it did before, I guess now that you're happy I'll give up the thought that you were coming home,

Every night I think of how much different life could be, I wish I had of thought of this when you were still with me, but I know that no one has the time to listen to a broken mind, so I'll let you go, I'll let you be, just promise you'll remember me,

All I want is to go back to the days when you were mine, when we felt right had chocolate fights, only if I knew it at the time, I'm left here without you, now nothing feels the same, my mistakes expired a perfect love, I know that I'm to blame, I'll walk these fields in the dark with a bag that holds my shattered heart, so I'll close my eyes and be with you, I know it's lies but what else can I do?

Every night I think of how much different life could be, I wish I had of thought of this when you were still with me, but I know that no one has the time to listen to a broken mind, so I'll let you go, I'll let you be, just promise you'll remember me,

When you ask I always tell about how I'm doing fine, but the truth is that I miss you more with everyday that passes by, I,

Every night I think of how much different life could be, I wish I had of thought of this while you were still with me, but I know that no one has the time to listen to a broken mind, so I'll let you go I'll let you be, just promise you'll remember me.
