Our Bucket ListA Poem by Brett ForsytheI wrote this for an old friend who lost his fiancee' in a car accident... R.I.P.I took our list and packed my bag, I know the past I cannot change, An accident, no one’s to blame, As together we were torn apart, Will you remember me, when we meet again? I turn the light off to hide my tears, Blinding your faces that hang on the mirror, I constantly think about taking my life, Because losing your love has come with a price, I pray that you remember me, when we meet again, The glow of your smile I’ll never forget, Nor a memory made that I’ll ever regret, A painful ending wrongly paired with a perfect start, The kindness of your mortal soul has touched so many hearts, I need you to remember me, when we meet again,
I need you, my guardian, until the list is done, An eternal love, your words I hear, This heart will heal, it can feel you near, A short life away, you’re the cure for all my pain, I know that you'll be waiting for me, when we meet again. © 2011 Brett ForsytheAuthor's Note
