Please, Never Come Back

Please, Never Come Back

A Poem by Brett Forsythe
"

Hopefully some people can relate to this.

"

Forgotten lies, the untold truth,

As you peeled away, both were let loose,

You knew all along, I had some errors,

Oh I still do, but you never cared,

I’m not gonna lie to you, you’re always on my mind,

Certain things I should’ve said, I wish you were still mine,

You, ya knew how to make it all better,

And you, showed me my good side, even though I’ve tried, I will continue,

Sometimes, I wish it is was just us,

No one else to trust,

Alone with our feelings,

But you deserve so much better,

Please, never come back to me,

I hurt you once proving I’m capable,

You deserve someone who would never be able to,

Apologies and best regards will never rip mistakes apart,

So find someone who will do it right and if he’s the one,

He’ll never ask for a second try.

I really feel the emotion behind this piece, and I truly can relate in a way. This was a very interesting read, reminding me of past experiences. The title is heartbreaking, but I understand the choices behind it. I really liked this, it's a great poem!

Try changing "errors" to "imperfections", "never cared" to "paid attention", and try changing "And you" to just "You" like the previous line, and I don't know exactly what "even though I've tried, I will continue" is there for, you should try clearing that up. :)

Otherwise, I think it's a decent dedication to someone you love but "don't deserve". It has good meaning in it where you don't want the one you love to come back to you because you don't want to hurt them, haha, I just realized it's actually similar to my recent poem For Him. Happy writings to you. :)
