Dear DaddyA Poem by Brett ForsytheWrote this for all the parents who expect too much out of their kids.Dear Daddy, It's been a year since you have passed, it still hurts me everyday, The fact that I had failed you, before you’d gone away, I wish I was a better son, then maybe you’d be proud, Point to me and say that’s him, while smiling from your cloud, I wish I could’ve won my race or got the final score, For the last eight years invisible has been the name tag that I’ve worn, My trying best has not sufficed, I was not born to win, With every harmless breath I take, I feel as though I’ve sinned, Emptiness and cold, this pain has long been known, You said you loved me all the time though love was never shown. I'm so sorry Jake © 2011 Brett ForsytheAuthor's Note
