TemptationA Poem by Forgotten
Like Adam in the Eden Garden I am drawn to temptation,
My fruit turning sour I lust for something sweeter, Hypnotised by the serpents kiss, I am a slave to temptation and sin. Innocent smiles and angelic voices beckon me, Unaware to fall under their spell, Ensnared and helpless, Temptation grasps me with an iron grip, Unable to pull away. I am the sinner, Shattered is my soul I am victim, To the sirens song, Under the malicious spell of temptation, I am helpless to sin.
