Steel Banshee

Steel Banshee

A Poem by Forgotten
"

My friend was shot dead not long ago, it's been hard for me considering we used to be close. I've finally come to terms with it and I'm writing this in his memory.

"
Boom!
A shot fires,
The cry of the steel banshee echoes in the night,
Thud!
He falls to the ground,
The liquor of his body draining,
Flash!
His life appears before his eyes,
Each smile,
Each memory,
Turning to dust and empty spaces,

The cry of the steel banshee has no mercy,
In the hands of malevolence.

Sorry for the loss of your friends. It's great you were able to write about, it should be the number one outlook for dealing with a loss or sorrow. I know I did. Anyways great poem, I find interesting but, probably perfect you portrayed your friend as the steel banshee.

Watching a friend died leave a permanent sadness. The poem was direct and sad. With life I learn. Death had no mercy. We must hope for good endings only. Thank you for sharing the powerful and sad poem. A outstanding poem. I'm sorry for the loss of a friend.

It's good that you've come to terms with such a thing. I hope you do well, you already show that you are very capable of writing. It's a hard thing to have to go through... ~DMX
