My Soul and IA Poem by Forgotten
I feel so pathetic, Still a boy at heart I feel weak, Struck by the emotional bullet, The soul proceeds to bleed, It grows weary, My sanity wearing thin, Please save my soul, Let it's suffering come to an end. Shh don't cry, It will be okay, I feel your pain as if it my own, Take my hand let me lead you through the light, Let your wounds be healed, Replenished by tranquil waters. Release my hand, Let my pain be my own, Separate I must be, Please just let me be alone, Let my tears turn to sand, And my body turn to ash, Separate we must be, Please let your heart be released, Without me you'll be free. Separate we are nothing, An empty husk at best, Please take my hand and trust me, Soon I will let you rest, Let your tears shed with dignity, And your heart beat with pride, Together we are stronger, My injured soul and I. To you right now I'm baggage, A burden for all to see, I trust you in your judgement, One day we will be free, So until that day comes, Lock me away and let me be, For the day this wound is healed, We'll live in harmony. © 2012 Forgotten
