Illusion or Eternal

What is love?
Is it merely just an illusion of the mind or is it something more?
Is it really the start of an eternal bond of two lonely souls?

You give up searching for the one, your mind lets u believe so,
but do you ever really give up?
Or does the spirit inside still search and long for the companion of another?

You think you've found her, the soul
fire
light
and friend,
Can two souls really join in an eternal bond?
Or just form the barrier to stop others from entering?

What is love?
An illusion of the mind or the eternal bond of two lonely souls,
No-one will ever truly know,
but your souls love will always live on when you find your bond and companion

I believe love is more then we realize. Love of a parent or grandparent is needed for us to stand strong and live a good life. Love of another can make us content or knock us down. Without emotion what would we be? I told my children. Slow and easy into love. Few of us have a lot to share and give. I like the logic of this poem. We need love in a life to keep us human. A excellent poem.
