The Calling of NatureA Poem by Forgotten
Upon sultry tone should my blood turn to alcohol,
Rejoice in the drunken pleasure, Sway with nature and let the trees claim you, Let it's roots penetrate your soul, Bliss collides with spirit and smile should follow, Is this natures true calling? It's purifying splendour raining upon me, Feeding me the fruits of love and compassion, I am human as is my emotion. Beat upon the drums, Let our souls dance within the meadows, Roaring fires of passion alight in our souls, Free are our spirits, Walls cannot confine us, Our inspirations upon the pen, The ink bleeding from our quills, Poetry incarnate. Close your eyes and let the music of the winds claim us, Take us away to your embrace, Cradle us in your protection, For we are the people of the earth, People of the fields, Nature born. © 2013 ForgottenAuthor's Note
