Tutem te rebore reddam

Tutem te rebore reddam

A Poem by Forgotten

Hero to his name a title his earned,
Yet a traitor to the crown of English,
Upon the field he fought for our honour,
And for land we had lost to the king,
The rays of hope shone upon his blade,
Collecting the blood of the men who disgrace us,
Let your name go down in legend.
Born from the daughter of a Crawford no less,
He fought for our struggle and the kingdom we lost,
Battling for our pride and dignity,
The Scots chant his name for the hero that he is,
William Wallace!
You are a man of history.
That being said we come down to me,
A scrawny lad with no capacity for a fight,
No muscle nor strength to boast,
Though we may share this bloodline,
I could not be the man that you were,
The strength I have not nor no courage dwell,
In these weak bones of mine.
William Wallace an idol in my life,
I look back upon the war that you fought,
Though beheaded a traitor you do still remain,
A hero by all means of name,
So I look to the skies and do say to thee,
Tutem Te Rebore Reddam.
