Syllables

Syllables

A Poem by Forgotten

I am but a syllable,
Four in fact!
John-Paul Crawford...
If you do not believe what I am telling you then read my name...
Aloud...
John-Paul....Crawford.
I know I sound crazy,
Insane maybe!
But in my mind I understand what I am telling you.
We are all syllables,
Within our names we find the nature of our beings!
What? You still don't believe my theory? Just listen for a moment,
We must learn a name to understand honesty and trust,
With trust and honesty we share,
We share our innermost self,
We share our emotions and within our emotions?
We find the nature of our being.
Am I crazy or insane?
Maybe my theory does not add up,
but when it comes down to it what do we learn?
To learn emotion we must learn trust,
To learn trust we must learn a name,
Within my name the syllables lie,
Crazy?
Well that's for you to decide.

What's in a name?! Clever. It always boils down to the simplest elements, eh? Syllables, atoms... just pieces thrown together in different combinations. My *first* name alone is four syllables. John-Paul Crawford has a lovely ring to it. The pieces go together quite well. That says great things about your character, you know.

A very enjoyable read, thank you, John. Your theory does add up, and your definitely not crazy. Food for thought! Names are important, as are our words. Within those syllables we do find the nature of our being, finding purpose and reason, honesty and trust in our very existence. Great job!!!

Names are important. My name is John Wayne Castellenas. Names inherit from family members. Words have purpose and reason. I agree with your thoughts. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

I love this!
"To learn emotion we must learn trust,
To learn trust we must learn a name,"
Brilliant concept :)
You're definitely not crazy but then again I could just be crazy as well.
