Moonlight Romance

Moonlight Romance

A Poem by Forgotten

May I have this dance beneath the canvassed sky?
For the moon shall be our spotlight,
Like two pieces to a music box we shall harmonise,
Underneath the starlight sky we shall dance,
The dance love would have us do.

Let our steps flow,
With the graceful elegance of a sapphire river,
May your dress blow in the subtle wind,
And let it take your soul,
For the night is ours.

May I have this dance beneath the canvassed sky?
For the moon shall be our spotlight,
Let my heart speak to you and teach you to dance,
To the rhythm of my heartbeat,
My love let us dance,
Until the night is no more.

You've written a wonderful romantic poem..I felt as if I was a witness, under the moonlit canvassed sky- Very well written. Excellent.

A very nice desire in the poem. Would be nice to dance under the canvassed sky. I like the good description and the visions create by the poem. Thank you for the amazing poem.

It was nice, felt as if I could dance with the words. The first 5 lines was the request with enticing, romantic wordplay. The middle I felt brought me in to the fantasy of the dance of love with her. Then the ending was the cherry of extra romance on top to ensure that so he won't decline the request. Nicely done, I enjoyed reading this writing.
