Let me Fall

Let me Fall

A Poem by Forgotten

Let me fall,
For if you catch me I will not learn,
Dependant I will become,
For if I should fall without you...
I would not know how to land,

Let mistakes teach you,
For one cannot tell you how to live,
Or tell you what path your life will take,
Within fleeting moments your future will manifest,
Into something unexpected.

Through corporate shackles we are slaves,
Corrupted by media our lives are placed in front of us,
On silver platters we are handed our false dreams,
False smiles and lies are what our lives can become.

So step through the mirror,
Set foot into your own shoes,
For your life is not set in stone,
Life hands you the chisel,
So carve your own future upon mossy stone.

This is really beautiful. The message it conveys to me is that you have to learn to stand on your own... or make your own luck, as Rob Dyrdek would say.
