"She Is Broken"

"She Is Broken"

A Poem by Forevermore

She Is Broken

Like a flame, she dances on her own.
She's wondering as she discovers places of the unknown.
Like a child's pure heart, she is curious,
looking for beauty in a world so hopeless;
seeking escape from a vast emptiness.

Like a bird she takes flight;
She is the journey with no destination in sight.
Furthermore fate takes it toll as she crashes and crawls.
She stumbles until she falls,
she is only so big until she is small.

Like a glass she cracks and then shatters.
Dragging the pieces as she looks for something that matters.
Something in which to her can hold meaning.
Endlessly weakening as she continues seeking,
denying the fact that she may find nothing;
Still she's searching.

Like a violet she shows strength,
continuously walking with every bitter heart break.
She is beaten and she is broken,
but her story wont be unspoken;
with every scar is a token,
even if she is left broken.

Like the grass she receives light,
she finally finds a feeling that can only be described as just right.
As broken as I might be,
it was the very love you gave that saved me.
As broken as I might be,
your love was the meaning, it set me free.

any thoughts? improvements? Not the regular style I go for but I felt a need to try something new.

this is really good! I like the message and similes you used here (middle stanza is my favorite!) I am kind of confused as to why the end lines switched from "she" to "I" but other than that this poem is well written... good job :)
