I feel so broken and surrounded by hate,
But now I’m seeing
It’s your words I can’t escape.

I’ve cried so much my cheeks are stained
Forever knowing and feeling this pain.

You spit those words at me,
And made me believe,
I’m tainted and worthless,
Or that’s how it seemed.

So I’m pushing you away,
I’m done with this fight.

No longer am I letting you ruin my light,
You said you loved me,
The words sounded so true,
Until you found I loved you too.

It turned into a battle of endless screaming,
So young,
So venerable,
You knew my every weakness,
You used it agents me,
Seeming so senseless..

Hard to believe,
I once craved your every touch,
Now I can only look at you in discussed.

I want you to be happy,
To know I care,
But to be totally honest,
I can never be there.

I’ve become so damaged,
So unworthy,
I’m giving up.

For not just my sanity but yours,
Because you know you’ll find better,
You just treat it like a chore.

So keep on looking and soon you’ll find,
In your heart,
You were never truly mine…
