An Absent FatherA Poem by ForeverNeverTo my sperm donor, that's all you've ever been...Wrists aren't made of steel you know Just cut and slice then slow the flow Watch the drip and drops come to a stop Hold my hand, calm my fears Comfort me and dry my tears Dreams are meant to be crushed My ideas are always shushed Abused, controlled, and unloved Drugged, busted, and cuffed These words I can't bare to say Cut and end my life today An accessory made of rope To tighten around and end all hope A knife with a blade of thorns With each cut, you see the Devil's horns Use a gun and pull the trigger It's deathly bite just like a chigger To pierce the skin Again and again Watch the blood trickle and pour And say goodbye to heaven's door My cries must be silenced quickly But to stop from screaming out is tricky Scars can be healed with time My silent slicing quite like a mime How could you sit there and feed? Into this deadly, uncontrolled need You gave me this knife you selfish b*****d You left, you cheated, you pathetic coward If I ever leave this world before I'm ready Know it's because of you my dear. ole'. daddy.
