Benevolent Absentee

Benevolent Absentee

A Poem by paradise

See the picture over there?
Look at the girl smiling her perfect hair?
Well let me tell you her smile is fake
She hid so well butit was more than she could take.

Before long her smiles started to fade
And thats when she became afraid
She started to talk less and less
But she would tell no one she would not confess

What happened to the girl who looked so alive
Why all the sudden she would not thrive
For this girl is a closed book
No one ever dares to look.

So take a peak look inside
What are the things she hides?
It's because she wants to die
Then you must be the reason she stays alive

But what do I do I don't know how
Well please think fast she needs your help now
I will try I will be there for her
But if you wait to long it will not matter

Why is it you look so sad?
It is the world it made me mad
Well I will be here for you
Goodbye My Love I bid you adieu
No please stop Come back "I Love You"

I personally think those that show emotion are heroes. Too many people in today's world put on a mask and go about their day. To me, that's not healthy. Nor is it right. Usually, there is that one person who will save you from yourself, but don't get too attached because they might not always be there when you need them.

"See the picture over there?
Look at the girl smiling her perfect hair?
Well let me tell you her smile is fake"

I like these lines because they show that people who are seemingly "normal" are dealing with serious issues. We should always ask those around us how they're doing and try to pay attention to signs of depression. All in all, you did a great job. Keep up the good work =]

Maybe quotations or added dialogue of the two conversing would have made it more of an engaging and clear read. That and, "So take a peak look inside" a break/ comma should be placed between "peak" and "look"
"But if you wait to long it will not matter" I believe you meant "too" not "to" here.
Though it is quite abstract in a sense, I still find it be mysterious, but the fact that the characters shed their true colors makes the poem ever so appealing and meaningful to the reader. (Perhaps you designed the poem this way to create a shadow effect, as if we are in the background listening to everything) Thank you for sharing.

i really like it. however love is sour, it still has nice taste so we cant decide if we want to forget the sour taste or want more of the nice one.

I agree with impulsive615, The people who show emtions are heroes because now a days many people see emotion as a sign of weakness and I think if a person can show emotion then that is a sign of their strength. This poem is very nice... in fact i read it two times. Fantastic and beautiful piece.

sounds personal just for the fact that the other two poems didn't have spelling errors and I believe that this one did or I might just be looking at it wrong.
