Simply Me

this is who i am in a nut shell

 Inspiration comes to me like wings upon the dawn

Moments bring words to me

And my hands lay them on paper

I am that which I write

 

At night I lay awake pondering

The many thoughts inside my head

I often wonder what is to become of me

And to myself I say

If you have not already defined yourself in your heart

You will never be who you truly are

 

The futures near but never certain

And I want you to stay with me until heaven burns and hell freezes over

Life has and will always be so confusing to me

But with you it seems ok for now

 

I’ve tried to skate

I’ve laughed

I’ve played

I’ve fallen

I’ve been bruised, heartbroken and burned but I always bounce back

 

When I want to cry I don’t let myself until I’m all alone

I love the feeling of tears rolling down my face

I don’t understand why but it brings me sweet joy

The tears show weakness but they make me strong inside

For each tear another minute longer that I can hold them in

 

I need someone to hold me from the edge I’m so blindly falling over

I need someone to hold me from falling blindly for you

I need to slow down

Time is to short this feeling won’t last

Move your feet a little slower just hold me until my life is over
