The Journey

Often it is necessary to relive hurtful times 

We need a painful reminder 

That those aren't moments we live in anymore

No longer are we as broken as we were

Nor are we as broken as we will ever be

We are made to heal

Our hearts will survive

Happiness will be regained

The journey will be long, and hard

We will get lost and confused

But we will find our way and understand

That in order to become the best version of us

We have to shed the worst parts
