Another attempt at a poem with some Italian in it.

Discover what it means

That the truth is buried within you

This blackness is all a lie

You're not what you seem

Unveil your thoughts

Unmask the light

That fills this selfless mind

A true treasure to find

Che faccia hai 

Brilliant against the cavern

Che cuore hai

For more love to yearn

Your speech is golden

Ornaments falling from the lips

Like coins upon the scarf

Catching light to the hips

Erase the words on the paper

And fold to make a pretty display

Your truth portray

La luce dentro di te nascerà

I enjoyed reading your poem and enjoyed, particularly, the imagery that you paint with your words. I wondered only at the following idea: what would it be like if you removed all second-person references. For example,

I'm studying Italian language but still a rookie... the poem is great and meaningful... being true to one's self is like being honest, i guess... If someone tried to change their truth just because they want to impress someone isn't good and that is like living a fake life... Imponente, signorina

I love languages. I love how words will mean something the same and yet something different when translated. So when a friend of mine decided to learn Italian, I wanted to learn it with them.

oh... I felt the same also but sadly i don't have anyone to learn it with (sigh)

That makes it hard when theres no one to practice with. I listen to music in whatever language I'm addicted to at the time, and annoy everyone around me by answering their questions in that language.
