The Mask

The Mask

A Poem by Nana Carmine
"

A little thought about life

"

Everything is alright so

Smile

Smile

Smile

It will be okay so

Grin

Grin

Grin

Don’t think about the sadness child.

It will only weigh you down.

Put on this mask.

Then no one will see your tears.

So smile.

Everyone is always smiling here dear.

Don’t think,

Don’t wonder…

I found it always makes things worse my sweet.

So lay your head down and

Sleep

Sleep

Sleep

i wouldnt really say this was uplifting. sorry.
this piece was written well to the truth. i see how you are trying to explain that people have masks on them when they dont even choose to put them on. this is how i perceived your work. i enjoyed this though. it put a thought into me to think about as i go on with my day. good write
