No Problems Here

No Problems Here

A Poem by Nana Carmine
"

Another one I really like. Please tell me what you think

"

A forgotten song drones in the back round

As the players set the scene

A perfect night; a perfect party

Nothing but a dream.

You all look beautiful

With you made up faces.

You masks

That hide your flaws.

We all smile and laugh

Holding up light conversation.

No one digs deep

No one cares

This is a perfect world

We don’t have problems here

No problems here

A girl sits in her room

All alone at night.

Crying from the beating, the bruising, the pain.

She only cries alone

To suit the perfect word

Her family has created.

No complaining

That would make her a bad child

She doesn’t want to be

A bad child.

This is a perfect world.

We don’t have problems here.

No problems here.

He acts alone and distant

As she sits and waits

Hoping he will smile

Like is used to be.

She will never complain

She is afraid of being left behind.

They are perfect.

She wants perfection

That she cannot find.

This is a perfect world.

We don’t have problems here.

No problems here.

He has a loaded gun

Waiting for a reason

Not to pull that trigger.

They told him it was wrong

To hear the voices.

They told him it was wrong

To want the things he did.

So he couldn’t find a reason

To want to stay.

He didn’t belong because

This is a perfect world.

We don’t have problems here

No problems here.
