I Still See You
A Poem by
Nana Carmine
I love this poem. It is one of my all time favorites that I have done
Swiftly spinning
Holding tightly
To the only hope I have left
My world is blurring
But I still see you
Gently tossing
Wistfully turning
Gracefully dancing
To a certain end
But I still see you
Hopelessness ensues
Anger floods
Pain fills
There is nothing left
But I still see you
There is a memory
Haunting my days
My sleepless nights
And no matter how hard I try
I still see you

"My world is blurring
But I still see you"
that was my favorite place where you used the "i still see you" because you had the world blurring, but they were still clear.
;) nice piece

Very nice. It can be extremely difficult when you still see them. Then again, it can be extremely difficult when they are gone. Damned if you do, and...

i really liked this, it shows how a memory or a person etc...can stay in your mind all the time, no matter what is happening, well, thats just what i got from it anyway, v gud poem:)

Yes, I know what it feel like. I still see my ex every time I pick up and drop off my son. Also, everytime I see my son, I still see his mother as well, so I can relate to your writing all the way.
Anyway, I wouldn't really call it a poem at all; It should be listed under "lyric" but, it's just me. It's all good...

I really like how this is written. The lines are short and quick and it feels like glimpses of memories.

But I still see you
There is a memory
Haunting my days
My sleepless nights
And no matter how hard I try
I still see you
Very familiar feeling. This is my life right now.
It hurts badly and you've done a great job of expressing your pain through your words.
