For YouA Poem by Nana CarmineA dream I had a long time ago
No more today Only tomorrow No more light Only darkness Past forgotten Hearts broken Tear shed And blood spilled Sixteen years is nothing compared to One moment I am alone now And you are No where in sight The world keeps spinning Underneath me Though soon I will be gone There is pain But it is nothing Compared to My aching heart Horns honking People stopping People staring Lights flashing No one caring Sirens in the background My life flashing Panic stricken Followed by calm No regrets … But one Even as I die I hear your voice Clearly in my head Nothing matters But the sweet ringing Of you in my ears Blood pours And my heart slows And it’s last beat Was all for you. © 2008 Nana CarmineReviews
