![]() The Vampire and The HumanA Story by Forbidden![]() This is about a lonely Vampire who helps out a human child. Please read and comment thanks![]() Draining The Last sips of the crimson elixir from the dead human body, I decided that I had done enough wrong in the world for one night. I could feel the cold windy air, for me to be able to actually feel the cold air tonight it meant it would have been deadly for any human that was out tonight. I could feel it in the air that a snow storm was coming on the way. I didn’t know why I was still here for; either I was waiting to get caught by a human or waiting for the sun to rise, both were dangerous and deadly. So it was obvious that I wanted either one or both, besides who wants to live forever?
I heard the scattering of light feet, perhaps a small child or a very young teen. The exact people who believed more in my kind than any other, why was it that they saw more than their elders the ones who have lived longer and had a better chance to catch a glimpse of my kind?
“Hello, who’s there?” I called out to the one I heard approaching, I wasn’t sure of what to do run and hide or be discovered holding the dead body in my cold-blooded hands.
“Hello,” I heard someone whisper back and then the little girl turned around the corner and I could see her rose red checks that were lit up by the blood that swirled under her skin, I could see her baby blue eyes that only ever saw sunshine and flowers and her dark black hair that changed and twisted all her other beautiful features, the girl was only the age of 6, only beginning her life and now would I end it? She was uncertain to approach me, the girl saw me holding a dead body of-course she would be scared. I placed the body on the ground and rose to my feet; I towered over the girl with easy. Inside her mind, I saw my dark figure. I was dressed in nothing but black, my eyes were wild and crimson red, there was no smile upon my face and I saw myself staring down at the child, with blood running down the side of my mouth and yet the child was not scared.
“Where is your mum and dad, little one?” I tried to say as gently as I could, I had never been gentle to a mortal before and it brought on a strange and curious feeling.
“I’m sorry that I disturbed you sir but I don’t have any parent’s. They abandoned me when I was born a couple of years ago.” I felt horrible for the girl, she had lost her parents, she had no family and she was in a wretched orphanage. How could people be so mean to a little angel such as this girl?
“NO!! No I’m sorry; it must be awful not to have any parents. Please come and sit down with me.” She did what I asked of her, which was the most that any human had ever done for me. How could this human child, see so much good in me where as any other human only saw evil. Did this little girl have a judgement problem?
It was when I was just talking to the girl, that I could see that her lips were blue and her fingers were going purple, I knew the weather would be deadly but I didn’t understand that it would actually kill someone as innocent as this girl.
“You must be cold; here take my Jacket so that you can stay warm. So if you ran away from the orphanage and have no family where are you going to go?” She slipped on my Jacket, while she thought over what her response to my question would be. I had all week to wait for an answer, In fact I had the rest of eternity to wait for an answer but I am too impatient to wait that long. The little girl had more nerve, more intelligence and more emotional strength than anyone I had ever met.
“I don’t know where I’m going to go but I’ll find somewhere to go and I’ll find something to do. All I will have to do is look for what I need.” The child was brave, trying to make her way in the world at her age. Just thinking about what she would do, gave me an idea. Yea it wasn’t the usual thing my kind did but who wouldn’t help this little girl out.
“Well you don’t have to look far.” She looked up to me with a look of confusion upon her angel like face.
“What do you mean, Sir?” She questioned me still unsure of what my idea was; I was still unsure of what this idea of mine will eventually do to me.
“I mean, if you want you can come and live with me. I will get you food and take you to school and look after you.” I kept on babbling on trying to get my idea out there, so that the child would have something to grab onto. She raised her tiny forefinger and pressed it gently to my cold lips, trying to make me stop talking.
“I would like that very much sir.” Her tiny face was lit up, as if I had just saved her from death. I smiled back at her.
“Please call me Charles.” I replied to her, if we were going to be living together then she should at least know my name.
“Charles,” She took my hand, she was just what I had thought she was in the beginning an angel. “I am Arella.” I am sure I had heard of that name before but I just can’t remember where.
“You have a beautiful name Arella; please shall we go back to my home?” I rose to my feet and she did as well, I grabbed her and placed her on my back since I did not have a car, she would have to ride on my back while I run us back to the apartment.
From that night on I was never alone, I watched the girl grow up to become an adult. Threw the past ten years I played the role of being Arella’s best friend and now who knows what the future holds for us. I still could never understand why it was her that had found me that night; if it had been any other human I would be dead now. But alas I guess I will never Know.
Signed Sincerely, Charles the 4th the Vampire
