The Best Pain In The World

The pain you feel when you have fallen for someone.

The ache in your chest is comforting, yet wrenching,
It reminds you of all the good times,
And the fact that if they left, vanished without a trace,
You would never be able to pick up the pieces of your heart, soul and life.

They are your world, your focus,
They are the one person that can instantly change your mood,
The make you smile and giggle, with no effort,
Because they simply are everything to you.

They envelop your mind, and is all you see when you close your eyes,
You relate songs, or pictures or places to them, as it reminds you of their qualities that you fell in love with,
All of this solidifies the feelings you have, and it fills you with joy to say,
'This is the best pain in the world, it shows I'm alive and loved'.

It's neither crappy nor soppy despite your mood. It is beautiful and precious as the ache in your chest is one of love and remembrance, which can be nostalgic and even melancholy, but not crappy or soppy. Very nice write for being in a soppy mood ;)
