What it feels like

What it feels like

A Poem by Folagbade Muyiwa

Wawu!!

I felt so dry last night
Not even a drop of sprinkled water seemed to be found,
No forms created in my mind.
Letters shriveled, words faded away.
The parched ambiance almost drowned me,
And nearly scorched my focus
Till the beauty became almost ruined.

But then,
I saw it right at the center,
A glowing drop
Not willing to dry up.
Its beauty was amazing,
Its strength was uncommon.
And there was a sound all around it,
A pleasing and spicy one it was,
Resonating a sweet sensation branded by life.
I saw the brilliant glow,
I heard the echo,
Dashing out Its spells like arrows trooping out from their bows
And I got stimulated, I got turned up.
Essence crept in,
Glee found its way in,
Substance dropped in its signature
And I gulped in satisfaction!

It was just a thought of you!!
