Deep thoughtA Poem by Folagbade Muyiwa
Deep thought beckons on reactions
Faster than the pace of light It takes us to where we do not come from Like our daydreams where we do not belong It slows down our pace Limiting us to our supposed past As we ingest and digest The most important parcels and morsels It pushes us ahead faster than we know Making our way toward inspiration and illumination We stride swiftly and lightly Putting the past in its place Because it births reactions That makes up for lost pace And the employment of deep thought Makes a male the man he is © 2014 Folagbade Muyiwa |
