Only Chimney Tops for a PhoenixA Poem by Karl Woof Junior
Facing your own disgrace is something that leaves you with nothing,
People who have already tell you to accept, Snapping in and out of that thousand yard glare to such a passive snare, To you and anyone left around. Face it though you get planted to the world like a cactus living on nothing, Nothing but a natural fate, Choice of a mate is easy for me; decent on the eyes and ears but the ruin remains, At this point even a hug, From someone decent becomes a few seconds in between haven and heaven, then let resolve die, HOPE to brands left behind, Perhaps but if only one would let me dissolve in privacy all this loneliness I could show her; a tissue stain Away from inner peace. Attest to the love and passion I was once capable of in public without anxiety of a future further shattered Heart I carry, I often ask them why, my face, my nose, I can cut it off you know, Just once more, To not care about anything but Her.
