Promise me, promise. Come morning, it is broken. Promise me, promise. One never to be repaired. Promise me, promise. Maybe you'll be forgiven. Promise me, promise. It won't be forgotten. Promise me, promise. I will not allow myself, Promise me, promise. Will not get hurt again. I promise, promise.
Loved, loved, loved this. Repetitions are my favorite. They have so much impact. Really makes you feel the gravity of being let down again and again and again. Every time I read your work I think to myself: My god, this girl has been through a lot to be so young. You are a rising star, my friend.
I love the repetitions of "Promise me, promise." It was so lyrical, so impactful! (I know impactful is not a word, but it describes this piece well, hehe) I loved it. :)
Nice. The repetition didn't seem forced, and the whole poem was sweet and light. I like it how you finally say that you promise yourself all these. Nice ending to a lovely poem.
