A Story by Steve

I wasn’t looking for you when you found me. Up to that point, I didn’t know what I needed. But it seems my heart did. In that first meeting, I was taken aback by your beauty. Soon to be followed by the sweet “hello” you offered me. The more I saw you, the more I wanted to know you. To understand the reasons why I felt the way I did when you were near me.

The more time we spent together, you kept drawing me in. There was something there that went deeper than your smile and the sparkle in your eyes. There was a connection that I never felt before and it tugged at my soul, trying to pull it closer to you.

I decided to let my heart go and be held by you. I felt like I could trust you with anything, so why not my heart. As our time with one another increased, a love I never felt before started to grow. I found I was no longer nervous around you and found my walls collapsing. You easily made me want to share with you. To share my thoughts, whether goofy or serious. My feelings were now open to you as well. I no longer had to keep them bottled up and hidden. You had a way of understanding and could calm my soul.

My soul went next. It was inevitable. I could no longer hold it back and finally gave in. When our souls finally collided, they became one and burned bright. You were now the anchor point for my soul and I yours. No matter what happened or where we went, we would always be able to find our way back to each other. As we looked toward the future, together, our outlook on life had changed. As long as we were together, the impossible, was now possible.

Excellent writing. You've done an outstanding job of displaying the thoughts of one who is totally immersed in the magic of romance. I've thought similar words about someone a couple times in my life.
