To the World Around Me

To the World Around Me

A Poem by flyingfree

You
Are killing me
Choking me
Driving me
All the way
To insanity
I
Am crumbling
Pieces tumbling
Discarded
To hell and beyond
Emotions
Veiled
By laughter
But quickly
Revealed
My pain
Pours out
In tears
Is this how it feels?
To be
A zebra
In the midst
Of a pack of lions
Whispers
And stares
Chip away
At my identity
What’s left
Soon
To be scattered
Gone
Obliviated.

This is really good. Very nice with the reference from how it feels and how a zebra would feel.
