Lone Bear

Lone Bear

A Poem by Theresa Hillstrom

You leave me here all alone on your bed, cold and alone with fear of abandonment from you.

I remember the times you would hold me close to you, telling me how your day was, telling me how much you love me.

The sweet, sweet memories of you hugging me when you were crying, asking me if everything will be alright again, I know I couldn't answer you but somehow you knew that I did say "yes my dear, everything is going to be alright. "

I miss the feel of your soft, bare hands holding me close to your body as you were sleeping or petting my soft fake fur on me.

I lay here waiting for you to come back and hold me close to you.

I'm going to be your Lone Bear till you return to me,  please come back to me.

 I love you
