I Still Love You

The story is explains itself. I wrote this for, my now ex, boyfriend.

No matter what you do,
No matter whom you're with,
I still love you,
'Till the day my life ends.

 

My lips I will save for yours.
My words I will whisper only to you.
My hands refuse to hold another's.
My heart I have surrendered to you.

 

You tell me to be happy.
I'll try my best with this broken thing in my chest.
You tell me to wait for you.
I'll wait until my last breath fades as I say your name.
You tell me to learn as much as I can.
I'll do my best with these tear-clouded eyes.
You tell me that you will come back to me.
I'll trust your words without a question.

 

My thoughts will forever be of you.
My soul you will see plainer than these words.
My ears will always be listening for the sounds of your return.
My voice will sing louder than ever just for you.

 

No matter what you say,
No matter where you are,
I still love you,
'Till the day my life ends.
 

Author's Note

I'm not sure if this is a poem or a song, so tell me what you think it should be. If it turns out that everyone thinks its a song, then I will rearrange things so it looks like lyrics and repost. If not, then I'll leave it as is.

It could be both, but I think it would be a wonderful song. I would love to hear it on the radio.
