Nighttime Glances

Nighttime Glances

A Poem by Diane Gaffney
"

As I was up at 3AM one chilly fall morning, I glanced out at the full moon shining on my bard outside my bedroom window.

"
Moon light streams
like silver fingers
touching gently
all it sees.
Cool, crisp breeze
like frosty breath
leaves it trace
on grass and leaves.
Fall sings softly
her song of ages,
shorter days and
longer nights
And its story is
told in pages
of colored leaves
and pure delights.

Beautiful painted imagery that defines my favorite time of year perfectly. You capture Fall with the words of this poem in her glorious nature. Thank you Diane for sharing your art with us.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. And, I enjoy getting up early in the morning so I don't miss anything of the day. This one particular morning I was just blown away by the brightness of the early morning full moon and the way it touched all in its path and reached out through my bedroom window. God's gift to me on that morning.
