Love Was Born Again

Love Was Born Again

A Poem by Dominik D. Rites
"

I found someone that I like a lot and it's bringing back memories of when I was once deeply in love with someone who is no longer around...

"
I lost my love.
I lost her.
She's gone.
You've heard that before,
haven't you?
I have,
but my love
came back.
Though she didn't have
her short
brown hair,
she was
just beautiful.
That's all
there was
in love.
Just mesmerizing,
and I am
entranced.
That love
was born again
with a different
face and
name.
Here she is.
Even their names
are similar.
She's much
like her
but older
and funnier
and I think
I just might
fall in love
once more.

Author's Note

Dominik D. Rites
I met someone who I've only known for less than a month and I can't help but feel attracted to her. She says she's not beautiful, but I think she really is. She says so because she's "round" and "chubby" but I don't care. I was never one for body types. I always thought that I was ugly because I used to be so skinny. I look like a ghost and she looks so lively. She reminds me a lot of someone I loved when I was a kid. It's like she's some sort of older reincarnation of her that's funnier and smarter and prettier. I'm not a very fast person when it comes to things like this. I like to be careful of where I'm stepping, so I've decided to give it some time before I move any further. But, man. I've fallen.
