I Hear You

I Hear You

A Poem by Dominik D. Rites
"

You're the only one I want to hear.

"
I Hear You

A perfect storm after a clearing,

A cool wind after a summer searing,

A drop of water after a drought,

And everything that life is about.

You are everything that I am,

My feet kicked up for a turning fan,

My lips pursed for a soda can,

My heart that beats for every mile I ran,

My eyes averted from every man.

You are the song of the birds,

Sung to be heard,

Though no one cares,

And no one's there,

But I hear you,

And here,

Near you,

I want to hold you in the palm of my hand,

Just to hear your voice and to understand,

What it means to sing for someone,

Only one,

And not just once and then you're done,

I mean forever,

Just so that no matter what,

You can always be together.

I listen to your song,

And you know I can hear you,

So you never sing a single note wrong.

You're the only one who I want to hear.

So I'll never have to shed a tear.

This is happier than any of my other poems, so might as well enjoy it while it lasts (:

"My Review of I Hear You by Flower Craft, A Fellow Writer's Café Author"

Well, this poem is more of your thing, and I really don't have much to say, except my review content will probably come across to you as something a lame and crummy office scrub would write. You know, someone who kisses a*s to his Boss, and obeys his/her every whim. Kind of like a little dog at a dish, begging for scraps, but never being satisfied. Hmmmm....

Yeah, this is your expression that's about your thing, but I'll give you a who hoodle for effort!
