If I were her

If I were her

A Poem by Flo
"

mothers who expect too much from their daughters

"

If I were the girl you dreamed about

If I were that tall, model thin, smart girl

Would you stop neglecting me?

Would you stop taking me as something not worth to look at or see?

Would you start smiling at me, instead of frowning down?

Would you start encouraging me to do more?

But sadly, I am not that tall, model thin, smart girl

I'm that average sized, pale faced one

The one that you never liked

The one whom you always with hateful thorns you spiked

If your seeking for perfection, why bother with humans?

You might as well get a robot instead

Author's Note

Flo
mothers whom always expect too much, weird how nowadays, mothers are pushing their daughters into being incredibly model like, while even the model themselves aren't that perfect, enjoy and tell me what you think about that subject

Wow, this is very powerful.
It's a sad subject....and sad that some Moms are actually like that.
I'm thankful mine isn't.
Well written, and a good piece!
