Pebbles on the shore of depression

Pebbles on the shore of depression

A Poem by Flo

The clouded sky, filled with unshed tears of the gathered clouds

As we stand or sit, scattered among the shore, of this odd shore

The sand grains, yellow grey and soft as they were touched

Lonely petals here and here, among the sands and shore of depression

we all gather too much, the grief a burden in our souls, sitting all alone

while our loved ones still sitting next to us, we still are alone

Each has a little spot, a knee hugging space, where we stay in one place

Trying to find among the slight darkness, looking deep inside the tear filled ocean

We look up at the sunless sky, hoping for the lay of light, trying to figure out the right

tortured inside, calm in the outside, burdened on the shoulders, and heart aching

We're just pebbles in the depression's shore

Author's Note

Flo
too much depression in the world, we could fill the world's seas and oceans with our sorrows

I, myself, have laid many pebbles upon those shores. This is one that I relate to well.
Expressive, descriptive and heartfelt. Good job!

It made me calmer than usual, like it was touching in a way.
Good job Flo, keep it up!
